Spotlight: Jordan


Siba, 18, is from Dara’a in Syria and lives in a Refugee Camp in Jordan. She joined the Humanitarian Changemaker training programme to find solutions to a problem facing her community – early marriage – and other issues facing youth in the camp.

The program host entrepreneurs who help discuss and give advice on how to start projectects and the process for expanding business ideas. Siba expresses,  “In our Arab world, civilization is moving forward and developing so quickly. Everyone here, men and women, are working so hard to take our community to the next level.” She looks forward to take her project on early marriage into action.

The Humanitarian changemaker training program launched with the participation of 200 youth for a refugee camp in Jordan.  The program is a 12-week curriculum. Each person will have support to “special venture idea o for a challenge they encounter in their community”.  Siba and 14 other girls travelled to Fab Lab where they learned new things and had the opportunity to be inspired.
